The admission circular for the 2025 academic year of the Bangladesh University of Professionals has published all the information required by students interested in the admission procedure.

The online application will start on 8 November 2024, and close on 22 November 2024. Admission tests will be held on 13 and 14 December 2024, while the results are slated for publication on 18 December.

Bangladesh University of Professionals Admission Test Requirements
BUP offers various undergraduate programs concerning different admission units according to academic backgrounds. The details are given below:
Admission Units
- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)
- Candidates from any discipline can apply.
- Minimum GPA requirements:
Science Group: Overall GPA of 9.00 with a minimum GPA of 4.50 in each test. - Business Studies Group: Overall GPA of 8.50 and above with at least GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
- Humanities Group: Cumulative GPA of 8.00 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each examination.
- Faculty of Business Studies (FBS)
- Only for candidates with a commerce background.
Minimum GPA requirement: Overall GPA of 8.50 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each examination.
- Faculty of Science and Technology (FST)
- Applications are open only to science-background candidates.
- Minimum GPA requirement: Overall GPA of 9.00 with at least GPA of 4.50 in each examination.
- Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS)
- Specialises in national security and related areas.
- Same minimal GPA requirements as the other Faculties.
Mark Distribution for Admission Test
The admission test for undergraduate programs will assess the candidate applicants based on the following criteria:
- Written Exam:
- FASS: General Knowledge (30), Bangla (30), English (40)
- FBS: Mathematics (35), English (35), General Knowledge (30)
FST: Mathematics (20), Biology (20), Physics (20), Chemistry (20) - FSSS: English (40), General Knowledge (30), Bangla (30)
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Written Exam: 70%
- Viva Voce: 15%
- HSC/Equivalent Result: 10% – SSC/Equivalent Result: 5%
BUP Admission Test Application Process
For BUP admission, the candidates have to follow the next processes:
- Admission Circular: Download the circular from the BUP website or any other official platform.
- Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for your desired unit.
- Fill in the Application Form: Please fill in the application form properly.
- Upload Supporting Documents: Please attach academic transcripts and certificates, if required.
- Pay Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee is to be deposited as per the instructions in the circular.
- Download Admit Card: After filling in the form, download your admit card from the university’s website before the date of the examination.
BUP Admission Application Fee
The application fee varies per program and is included in the admission circular. The candidates shall pay the fee within the stipulated period; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
BUP Admit Card Download
Admit cards can be downloaded from January 14, 2025. The candidates shall take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the examination center on the day of the test.
BUP Admission Seat Plan
The seat plan showing the examination centers will be published later on. Candidates are requested to keep visiting the BUP website regularly for their examination centers.
BUP Eligible List 2025
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) will publish the Eligible List for the Written Examination, dates will be updated. Only those candidates who have made it to the shortlist can download their Admit Cards through the system using their User ID and Password.
Those interested will be able to see the BUP Eligible List 2024 by going to the official admission website: admission.bup.edu.bd. The list includes Admission Roll Numbers, and one can check his eligibility using the email ID, name, and father’s name.

BUP Admission Result
The results of the written tests will be announced on after BUP admission test. The final round of selection will include a viva voce interview for the qualifying candidates.
