Dhaka University Admission Requirements and Mark Distribution

A Unit (Science Faculty)

Eligibility Criteria: Students need at least 8.50 total GPA in the Secondary and Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examinations with at least 3.50 in each examination.

Mark Distribution: The full mark is 100. 60 marks for MCQ (45 minutes) and 40 marks for the written exam (45 minutes).

B-Unit (Humanities)

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum total GPA 8.00 with at least 3.00 in both SSC and HSC (or equivalent) separately.

Mark Distribution: Total marks are 100. Out of the total marks, the distribution is- 60 marks for MCQ (45 minutes) and 40 marks for the written exam (45 minutes).

C Unit (BBA Program)

Eligibility Criteria: Students have to attain Total GPA 8.00 , where a minimum 3.50 marks in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations. This unit is open to the students who complete the Higher Secondary or equivalent in Business Studies (Commerce).

Mark Distribution: Full marks are 100, out of which 60 marks are allocated for MCQ (45 minutes) and 40 marks for the written exam (45 minutes).

D Unit (Faculty of Social Sciences)

Eligibility Criteria: Any category candidates can apply, but the minimum qualification of the students must be fulfilled. The university requires a total GPA of 8.00 and no subject grade below “B” (3.00).

Mark Distribution: There is a total of 100 marks, of which 60 marks are allocated for MCQ in 45 minutes and 40 marks for the written examination in 45 minutes.

CHA-Unit (Fine Arts)

Eligibility Criteria: It takes in candidates from all groups like D unit. The candidates have to receive at least 7.00 total GPA, of which the minimum GPA requirement at the SSC level is 3.50.

Mark Distribution: The full mark is 100; the university has distributed 40 in MCQ [half an hour] and 60 marks for the written/drawing examination [one hour].

General Admission Issues

All candidates must have passed their SSC or equivalent exams between 2020 and 2021, and their HSC or equivalent exams in 2024. 2nd-time admission test is not allowed unless for grade improvement purposes. Please check the circular for further confirmation.

Dhaka University Admission Test Application Process

To apply for DU Admission Test, here are some steps you can follow:

1. Log in to the official admission website at admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
2. Click the “Login/Apply” button; a page will open where you need to give your HSC roll number, passing year, and board, along with your SSC roll number. Click “Submit.”
3. After submission of your data, verify your information and select the eligible application unit. Click “Confirm.”
4. Upload your scanned photo and give your personal mobile number along with other required information. Click “Confirm” again.
5. To finalize your application, send an SMS to 16321.
6. After sending the SMS, you will get a confirmation code. Give that confirmation code and click “Confirm.”
7. Download the pay slip of the application fee and print it.

DU Admission Application Fee

The application fee for the admission test at Dhaka University is Tk 1,050. It can be changed from unit to unit.
You can pay online through debit or credit cards, mobile banking services, or branches of state-owned banks such as Sonali, Janata, Agrani, and Rupali Bank.

Admit Card Download From: –November 2024 Candidates can download the admit card from the admission website with the given information and print it before the scheduled date of their examination.

DU Admission Seat Plan

DU Admission Seat Plan will be published on its official website before the admission tests start. One can check the examination center and seating arrangement from their official websites or mobile sms.

Dhaka University Admission Result

The result of the admission will be declared after the exams. For that, one has to log in to the official website of admission and click according to the instructions in order to see their result.
